Grestaian Chase

The Grestaian Chase [gress-STAY-an] is a famous annual drort race held in Grestaian Park in the city of Vahltor, with teams of riders competing to complete an ovoid circular course.

Though formerly a single annual event, the popularity of the Chase has spawned a series of racing events which take place in the park, including shorter races, obstacle courses, and novelty races with garrons, wyverns, chariots and various other specialities.

The “Chase Season” is the peak of the social season in Harthera, a time of betting, carnivals and parties. It occurs in the early summer before the wealthy retire to the hills.
