Dor'Ann Imperial Calendar

The Dor'Ann Imperial Calendar or Old Imperial Reckoning, more often called the Imperial Calendar or IC, was the official religious and bureaucratic calendar of the Empire of Dor-en-Sann. The Gaal Empire which preceded it had used a calendar dated from the legendary founding of Gaalkedch, but in the decades of poor administration leading to the Gobalay Coup of 2055 BME, the old calendar had gone adrift from solar years.

The Hirèrk Moonscale [Hee-Rerrk] (HM) is a luni-solar calendar used at least since the time of Miyarris, which measures cycles based on the moons, solar years as well as the millennia-long cycles of global climate change. . The true Imperial Calendar ended in 1962 IC, with the sacking of Gaalkedch by the conquering forces of the Mother Army.

Modern Use

Although the Imperial Calendar has been superceded in most of the north by the Modern Epoch calendar, the IC it is still used by the Heterodox Church in Hesjbagaaia and several other Heterodox nations in Munatan, though many elements of the calendar have changed dramatically since the old imperial days.
