Bandar Gulf
The Bandar Gulf is a region of nearly empty space between two strands of the local galactic arm, about 40 light years at its widest point, and nearly 100 light years long. The only star in this void is the sun of the Bandar System, home to the bandar race, a highly advanced and cultured race who have never ventured beyond their home system, despite having the ability to do so.

Helevos (also known as Vos, or Veeos) is a temperate terrestrial world, fourth planet of the star Cordes in the Cronox binary star system. The stars Cordes and Arjos are distant binaries, so on Helevos, Arjos is only seen in the northern hemisphere as star, sometimes bright enough to be seen during the day, circling roughly over the viridgreenAnásthiasAnásthiasAnásthiasgreen.
The formation of the gulf is unusual, since it is in a region of space with an otherwise unremarkable distribution of stars. It is shaped like a three-dimensional tear, like a rip in cloth, widest at its central point and narrowing at either end. It is unclear whether the space was pulled apart perhaps by passing black holes, or pushed apart by some object within the gulf. The fact that only star within the gulf is the otherwise unremarkable orange giant of the Bandar system is also mysterious.
Wild theorists have speculated that the entire gulf might be an artificial tear in space, deliberately intended to isolate the reclusive bandar civilisation.
