The Bandar system is an isolated solar system in the midst of the Bandar Gulf, an empty region of space approximately 40 LY across. Its single star is an orange subgiant.

Helevos (also known as Vos, or Veeos) is a temperate terrestrial world, fourth planet of the star Cordes in the Cronox binary star system. The stars Cordes and Arjos are distant binaries, so on Helevos, Arjos is only seen in the northern hemisphere as star, sometimes bright enough to be seen during the day, circling roughly over the viridgreenAnásthiasAnásthiasAnásthiasgreen.
The system is home to the tetrapodal bandar race, native to the heavy gravity world Bantmitual. Over hundreds of millennia as an advanced technological civilisation, bandar have undertaken massive engineering projects within their home system, mining comets, deconstructing asteroid fields and harvesting two former gas giants within the system, in order to build a huge number of habitats and other artificial structures. Virtually the entire system has been reshaped and remodelled by bandar technology.
Consequently the system has only no comets or asteroid fields, and only two planets, the giant terran world Bantmitual and the gas giant Funderes. Both have multiple moons, with Bantmitual also having two large inhabited moons at the L4 and L5 Lagrange points, preceding and following the planet in its orbit.
The depth of the Bandar Gulf makes the system inaccessible to ordinary transit shipping, and the conservative nature of bandar makes them unwilling to risk the long journey to other stars. However, representatives from beyond have visited Bantmitual on special arrangement, though the planet's high gravity and pressure makes special equipment necessary for any visitors to the surface.
