Farsight requires the mastery of many other disciplines, since it requires controlling at least two elementals: the “receiver” in the remote location who will sense and produce visual stimuli, which is relayed back to the thaumaturge's primus, who then either physically reproduces a pattern of light, or directly displays the image into the retina.

Teaching of farsight was strictly regulated by the magisters of the Rasian Academy, since it is a powerful ability which can be easily misused to spy on unwitting targets.
