Neuromancy is the thaumaturgical discipline involving electromagnetic manipulation of structures within the human brain. It is now both a lost art and a forbidden art, considered to be malefaction.

Historically it was the highest art of the Holisticians of the Rasian Academy, used medically to suppress pain and to ease or cure psychological and neurological disorders, particularly anxiety. It was also used as a research tool, giving the ability to expand the memory and consciousness of master holisticians.

However it also had a dark side, since neuromancy can be used to induce fear, pain, paralysis, hallucinations, and memory loss. By damaging parts of the brain it is possible to cause disability, catastrophic personality loss, and death.

The renegade Grand Master Belikast was accused of grotesque human experiments involving neuromancy. Subsequently under the Magisteriate era of the Rasian Academy, neuromancy was outlawed due to ethical concerns about its use.
