fungus. Greensilk is the finest of the silks, being soft, shiny, takes vibrant dyes, yet also extremely strong and resistant to wear.

The finest greensilk is a valued export of Siltorn in Ororr. It is also produced in Gaskanin, where plantations were created to satisfy demand within the old Empire of Dor-en-Sann.

silk, but the raw material is more easily available. The finished product can vary greatly in quality, so Hesjbagaaia in particular exports large quantities of cheaper, inferior silk.

In Anrel there is often concern over silk fabric due to widespread virid taboo, since fine sporsilk and greensilk are sometimes mixed to boost profits by scurrilous textile magnates.

Pure sporsilk is distinguishable from greensilk since sporsilk is not so hard wearing, and does not retain vibrant dyes.

Sea silk is harvested from virid molluscs and is particularly tough and strong. Its fibres are not so fine but it is extremely hard wearing. Gobalay nobles in particular wore seasilk, and it was a popular fabric for the imperial families of the Empire of Dor-en-Sann, since it is decorous but impenetrable to a sharp blade.
