The Realm of the Godmenplugin-autotooltip__small plugin-autotooltip_bigGodmen

The Godmen were the mythical inhabitants of a landmass contiguous with the modern Natorn Archipelago, said to be the ancestors of all the Thalsic peoples of the northern Civilised World. In the Emerald Epoch they created the first great civilisation, referred to as the Realm of the Godmen. was semi-mythic ancient civilisation, said to have existed in the Emerald Epoch from roughly 15,000-12,000 BME. It was the home of the mythical Godmen, the said to have been the first human civilisation from which all mankind descends.

In this period sea levels were almost four hundred metres below current levels, exposing a considerable landmass in the region which now forms the Anrel Isles and parts of The Spines, which were then areas of highland and mountain.

The Realm is extensively described in the Tirennion, the creation myth and history of the Aralsic people. Since the ancient cities have been lost beneath the sea, there is scant evidence for the Realm other than some artefacts, a handful of archeological sites, and a wealth of oral history. According to legend, the heart of the Realm was on the west coast, it's capital the shining city of Yendim, after which the Yending Star, the Yending Meridian and the sea area called the Yending Shelf are name.

The mysterious oracles are thought to be artefacts of the Godmen, though there has been little serious investigation into these mysterious religious sites, which are said to speak in the voice of lost times.
