Helevos has two separate families of life, which compete with each other for resources and space. Various cultures give different names for these two competing families, but in Anrel they are commonly called “the Virid and the Green”, a quotation from the GreenViridgreengreenGreengreenGreengreenviridGreenviridviridviridgreenviridgreengreengreengreenviridviridGreenviridgreenviridgreengreengreenViridgreenviridViridgreenviridviridviridViridgreenviridviridViridgreengreenviridgr…, bred for its meat, skin and fur. Common soay are dun-coloured quadrupeds with splayed ungulate feet. They have a tapered prehensile snout, with short downward-pointing tusks which they use for digging up roots and for defence. They are omnivorous, eating roots, fruits and tender vegetation, but happily consume eggs and any small burrowing creatures they dig up. Soay are particularly tolerant to virid vegetation, and are valued by farmers for their habit of digging up and consuming the roots of virid weeds.
