Blood salt is a mineral found in the mountains of Li-Vam-Aur and other parts of the Dun Trisan mountains, widely used in cooking. In folklore veins of rock salt are said to be the dried blood of ancient monsters that fell from the heavens and were buried deep in the earth.
Chusut is the largest city in Taur-dji-oum, often erroneously considered the capital of this fractious region. Chusut is a port on Lake Mamoluim, a hub for trade, diplomacy and intrigue. It has been fought over many times by the clans and burned to the ground many times throughout history.
Kokant is a city in the northern highlands of Taur-dji-oum, just 80 km from the border with Ororr. It has long been the main trade link with Ororr, but is also a key city for Ororran missionaries trying to spread the Therist faith to the region.

The River Roul or Ruldin, is a great river in southeastern Anásthias, flowing southeast from the mountains through Taur-Dji-Oum to its mouth in Tiernas Bay. The river is the formal boundary between Munatan and Otekahré.
At its mouth the river is the widest in the Civilised World and regularly floods, creating an inhospitable landscape of swamps and mudflats.
Taur-Dji-Oum [Tower-shjee-ohm], known as Torthien in much of the Civilised World, also called the Vale of Tortanis in Ororr, is an upland area of southeastern Anásthias. It is a politically complex and unstable region, consisting of twenty-three major ethnic nations, territorially sub-divided into smaller kingdoms, chiefdoms, fiefdoms and clan holdings, with a shifting pattern of allegiances and alliances.
