Rettien

Rettien is an Aralsic language spoken in Narette in the Anrel Isles. Although it shares much common vocabulary with Reidan, Rettien is heavily influenced by Old Oracilem, the Iskean language of the former city-state of Oracil.

Rettien has two distinct dialects. High Rettien is the language of the Ania Plateau and the nobility. It is considered a more formal language, the language of culture and literature. Low Rettien is spoken in the lowlands, central plains and mountainous east of the country. It has more Oracilem-Asokway influences, and is considered the rustic language of herdsmen, although dialects of Low Rettien are spoken across the lowlands.
