. They named the city Heth Ania, meaning “new Ania”, and consequently their home became Nos Ania, “true Ania”.

The original settlement was destroyed during the Long War, and its site swamped with the rise in sea level at the end of the Little Age in the 8th century ME. The modern inland city was planned and constructed in the 9th century, and became the new national capital when the government moved from Himéath. The city is a summer port in a gently sloping half-bowl of rich green farmland. The city is home to Elliole Academy, the foremost institution for learning in Narette, attended by many children of the Naretian nobility.
