Academy Schools

Academy schools, not to be confused with the Schools of Thought, were elite educational establishments for children found throughout Anrel. They taught a curriculum approved by the Rasian Academy, consisting of the Three Pillars: Grammar (including reading, languages and literature), Logic (including mathematics, reasoning and critical thought) and Holistics (including natural sciences, human behaviour and biology, anatomy, history and governance).

The first schools were founded in Rasia and paid for jointly by the Great Schools, but later institutions were paid for privately, or by communities. Many survived on generous donations from nobles wishing to gain social status.
