Imperial Provinces (Dor-en-Sann)

In the old Empire of Dor-en-Sann, the Imperial Provinces were territories directly administered by the central imperial government, as opposed to rule by satraps, client kings, or other autonomous local government.

The Empire of Dor-en-Sann, [DOORR-enn-SAHN] also called the EnSanni Empire, was the largest empire in history. It dominated central Anásthias for nearly two thousand years, from 1903 BME, until the conquest of Galkesh in 59 ME. Historically the Imperial Provinces included the territory of the ancient Gaal Empire, although some provinces such as Gobalay and Toborr had special status. Perhaps as a response to this, the weakened imperium looked to conquer new territories to the east, extending their power to create the new provinces of Gedoq and Alonorr.
