History

The college originally had large manufactories in the city, transporting finished products up to the Coom for binding and activation. Protests by other city metalworkers, combined with rising costs, led to the manufacturing mostly being subcontracted to conventional workshops with indjineers designing and finishing the artefacts. With the Indjineers loss of their central in the manufacture of devices, other colleges such as the metamagicians began designing their own devices and subcontracting directly, so that in the later period the college essentially vanished.

Most senior members of the college were Mekanists, though indjineers were a practical breed who were not always fervent about any particular philosophical belief.
