Academy schools, not to be confused with the Schools of Thought, were elite educational establishments for children found throughout Anrel. They taught a curriculum approved by the Rasian Academy, consisting of the Three Pillars: Grammar (including reading, languages and literature), Logic (including mathematics, reasoning and critical thought) and Holistics (including natural sciences, human behaviour and biology, anatomy, history and governance).
The Grammarians were one of the three great Schools of Thought in the golden age of the Rasian Academy. Grammarians believed that words and language were the key effective magic, and sought the purest, most concise and elegant words and structures. Grammarians also studied human languages of all kinds.languagelanguage
Magister is a term in the Anrel Isles for a thaumaturges, or full practitioners of magic. More specifically, magisters are thaumaturges of the Rasian Academy with the ability to summon, bind and instruct elementals on their own, with no assistance from others. Sorcerors are practitioners with the skill and knowledge to instruct elementals, but without the ability to summon and bind them.magic
Mekanism was a School of Thought at the Rasian Academy. It viewed the universe as a single integrated machine, made up of intricate interlocking parts, from the smallest particles of matter to the great wheels of the heavens.
