Hartheran Talent

The talent or talen is the currency of Hartheraplugin-autotooltip__small plugin-autotooltip_bigHarthera

The Hartheran Union, commonly named Harthera, is an imperialist maritime nation state dominating the northeast of Anásthias. It is one of the two great powers of the modern epoch, arguably the most technologically and militarily powerful nation in the world, only matched by the vast size and wealth of its neighbour, viridviridOrorrMEOrorrOrorrOrorrOrorr. It began as a token system for paying indentured workers and militiamen under the Chelidt Overlordship, after the old Saloyan currency had utterly collapsed. The principle was that an unskilled labourer would earn one talent per day of labour, whilst more skilled workers would be paid proportionately more depending on the amount of time (and talents) invested in their training.

Today there is still an element of labour input in the currency, since workers expect to be proportionately compensated for their time.
