Some believe The One represents the natural cycles of life, birth and death. The force for all life comes from the One, and returns to the One in death. Most believe the One is not a deity who is conscious or present in the world, so unlike the earthly gods is beyond the power of prayer or intercession.
The One is also sometimes associated with the sun.
