It follows the valley of the Green Wiyel to its source in the Kokant Valley through more than 600 km of rugged and mountainous terrain. The road was difficult and expensive taking over forty years to construct, but was considered vital for extending Ororran power to the uplands.
The completion of the road was seen as expanding Ororran power in Taur-dji-oum, and potentially the first step to annexing the region. This was seen as a threat to Harthera influence in Munatan and Otekahré, and sparked the Torthien Crisis, the political and economic conflict that nearly erupted into fullscale war.
