In a time of cataclysm, with floods and storms laying waste to the coastal Issid Block States, the outflow of refugees southward was seen as a threat to the inland states, many of whom moved refugees on after having their streets flooded with desperate people. This enormous upheaval of population sparked a series of armed conflicts all along the River Wiyel, hence the name Ves Jaen, meaning “Sea-to-Mountain”.

The Ves Jaen conflicts was therefore not a co-ordinated war between nation states, more a state of anarchy where refugee warlords seized lands and cities, before being toppled themselves. Very little is known about the period, since few records survived other than oral histories, which became legends.

Archeological research carried out by Deltirot researchers in the late EnSanni period, showing widespread societal collapse, with whole cities burned to the ground. However few modern Ororran historians are interested in this period of ancient history.
