He is famous for his exploits during the so-called Dragon War, in which he created terrifying illusions of fiery flying creatures, and according to legend destroyed the slaver city Oracil.
The historicity of these events are so shrouded in myth that is difficult to know the truth of actual events. Later Trésardi historians have argued the city was in fact destroyed by a volcanic eruption which merely coincided with the war. Anretians declare this to be a barefaced lie and an excuse for atrocities perpetrated by Rasia. The destruction of Oracil was cited as one of the many reasons for the Long War.
