Flitter

Flitters are a class of birds including sparrs, yellowtails, blackjaws pippinjacks and many others. They are a morphologically disparate group though all share a common ancestry.

Though birds they are edible, and at various times have been considered either a delicacy for the rich, because of the difficulty of catching them, or the food of the poor, being desperate enoough to catch such small prey.
