The Empire of Dor-en-Sann, [DOORR-enn-SAHN] also called the EnSanni Empire, was the largest empire in history. It dominated central Anásthias for nearly two thousand years, from 1903 BME, until the conquest of Galkesh in 59 ME. It was nominally ruled by a king in its early days. Rather than absorbing Ancient Remel into direct rule by the growing empire, the Ensanni attempted to retain and convert much of the existing social hierarchy, redirecting and reshaping the region under an Ensanni king. As the territory expanded the huge state was largely controlled by regional rulers who essentially wielded autonomy. Used to date years Before the Modern Epoch. in an attempt to exert greater control. The powers of the high kings gradually declined from their peak through a serious of power grabs and boundary disputes. In 884 BME the empire officially intervened, reorganising the kingdom into four divisions, known as the Tetrarchy of Garnarré-Remel.
The Tetrarchy survived until the Siege of Remel in 42 ME, when the Mother Army of the Great Prophet Therion seized the city and annexed the region into the new nation of Ororr.
