Anásthias [a-NAS-thee-ass / ænæsθiːæs], or [an-ass-THEE-as] is an equatorial island continent, heart of the Civilised World. Tida is the seed kernel of the tida fern, a virid plant which flourishes in humid, shady areas. The ferns produce fruiting pods which grow tightly wound and unfurl as they mature, opening and releasing their airborne spor. Tida pods are harvested at the pre-mature stage when they are still tightly packed, small balls about 3mm in diameter.
