The Gaal people are an ethnic group whose original homeland was in the uplands of what is now northeastern Ororr. The Gaal Empire grew to encompass much of the region, and was the progenitor of the Empire of Dor-en-Sann. Consequently the Gaal people, their language, culture and influence, formed the foundation of modern Ororran society.
The modern city of Galkesh [GAL-kesh, g'alkeʃ] is capital of the Gaskanin region of northeastern Ororr, and of Galkesh province. In ancient times it was Gaalkedch [nGAHL-kedge-sh, ɣɑːːɫkeʒʃ], centre of the first Gaal Empire, and later the holy metropolis of the Empire of Dor-en-Sann.

The Gebjon Dynasty was a line of related rulers of the Empire of Dor-en-Sann, from its founding in 1903 BME to 1645 BME. Early rulers of the dynasty were sons or nephews of the ruling emperor, but as time progressed inheritors of the title were increasingly by marriage or adoption. Some emperors even forcibly adopted themselves into the line.
Gebjon Galrenidh (1973-1903 BME) was a military leader who ruled the Gaal Empire for the final seventeen years of the Gobalay Interregnum, from 1920 BME until his death in 1903.
