River States

The River States describes the region of principalities, city states and tribal communes along the Blue Wiyel from around 2000 to 1400 BME, now part of the Deltirot region of Ororr. Though an anachronism, the term is still commonlyused to describe the region, particularly to distinguish it from the Deltirot Plateau, sometimes called Old Deltirot.

The Kingdom of Deltirot was a historic nation in central Anásthias, occupying much of what is now the region of Deltirot in Ororr.

Empire of Dor-en-Sann

This is in a series of articles about the historic multi-ethnic state, the Empire of Dor-en-Sann, which existed from c.1900 BME-60, forming a buffer between the Kingdom of Seqal, an integral part of the Empire of Dor-en-Sann. The states were agrarian and prosperous from the numerous lakes in the region, but the swamp and marginal river land made passage difficult except with skilled local knowledge. Their remoteness meant they were never successfully occupied by the larger powers, though the states occasionally came into temporary alliance with their more powerful neighbours.

In three periods the region was united under charismatic leadership, war or dynastic marriage to form the Confederation of the Blue Wiyel.
