At its height it controlled more than one quarter of the island of Besoa, as well as the islands of Iluns, Antyok and southern parts of The Spines. It later declined, and was annexed by Sann'al following the Battle of Four Kingdoms.

After the conquest of Heronbar by Sann'al, heirs to the throne became known as the Prince of Heronbar, a title often used as a deliberate snub to the Principality of Antyok.
