Little is known about the state rites of Ashera, since these were considered secret mysteries carried out exclusively by the Imperial family priesthood.
After the fall of the Empire and the conversion of most imperial peoples to the Mother Church of Ororr, many Asherites professed to follow the new religion, but practiced their ancient rites in secret. In the early centuries of Ororr there were many accusations that powerful people were secret Asherites, though many of these may have been deliberate slanders to remove political opponents or confiscate riches from wealthy families.
