Kingdom of Hesjbagaaia
The Kingdom of Hesjbagaaia [hesdge-ba-GUY-ah] (also Hesporia or Hespagoria) is a nation in western Munatan. It is the successor to the Ennseperan Empire which dominated the region for much of the first millennium ME but collapsed during the War of Schisms.

Isjbela (or Esjbela) is the capital city of Hesjbagaaia in Munatan, a wealthy port for trade, seat of the kings of Hesjbagaaia and heart of the Heterodox Church.
The city lies on the eastern shore of Isjbela Bay, an inlet of the Limerent Sea with a large natural harbour. Hesjbagaaia was founded as a unitary kingdom at the end of the war in 701 ME by the winning forces in the war. Its name means “land of the Hespor speakers”, distinguishing it from the colonialist multi-ethnic former empire. Munatan [Moo-Nah-Tahn] is the southernmost region of Anásthias, south of the Dun Trisan mountains. The name possibly derives from a ancient Thalsic, meaning “Land of One Sun”, since the daystar is not visible in the southern hemisphere. Or it may be a reference to the Manthi people who were once the majority population of western Munatan. The term is an OrorrOrorrOrorrHartheraHartheraOrorrOrorrOrorrHartheraHartheraHartheran, and an emerging Great Power. Its navy is one of the most effective in the world, second only to Harthera, with whom it holds an informal alliance.
It is the centre of the Heterodox Church, the principle religion of western Munatan.
Geography
Hesjbagaaia is a large, geographically diverse nation bordered by Veedormim to the west, Inkusjezepa to the east, and Ororr to the north.
It's geography is the result of settlement in the drier coastline and mountain foothills, which historically were more accessible to settlement, having only virid scrubland rather than forest. This accounts for the unusual L shape of the nation.
It can be divided into three regions: the northwest with its ancient coastal cities and reliance on the sea and trade, the central rural highlands reliant on farming and timber, with scattered towns and villages, the the drier more temperate south, gathered around the inland Limerent Sea. The south is the most heavily populated part of the country, with the national capital at Isjbela.
